    Invite the helper for a trial before you decide.

    Choose whom to hire. The working arrangement is between you and the helper.

Helper verification and safety

What MeeHelp checks when a helper registers

When a helper registers on MeeHelp:

  • Mobile number verified by OTPEach helper's mobile number is verified with a one-time password when they register.
  • Aadhaar document collected and manually reviewedEach helper submits their Aadhaar document when they register, and MeeHelp reviews it by hand. The address on that document is available to MeeHelp.

MeeHelp reviews the helper's Aadhaar document to check their identity. It is not a police verification or a background check, and MeeHelp does not separately check where the helper lives — so follow the tips below as well.

Tips for hiring a helper

  • Speak to the helper on the phone, and meet them before they start.
  • See their original ID in person when you meet.
  • Many housing societies and local police ask households to register domestic staff. Check what your building and city require.
  • Agree the tasks, hours, salary, weekly off and notice period clearly — in writing if you can.
  • Start with a trial before you commit.
  • Keep cash, jewellery and important documents locked away, especially in the first few weeks.

What is MeeHelp?

MeeHelp is a mobile app with two ways to get help at home. You can find domestic helpers — maids, cooks, babysitters and nannies, elder care and patient care attendants — and hire them directly. Or you can book help in the app: a one-time clean, now or for later, or hourly help scheduled ahead.

How does finding and hiring a helper work?

You search for helpers in the app, choose a contact plan, and contact the helpers you like directly. You discuss the work and agree the salary with the helper yourself, and you can agree a trial with them before you decide.

What does it cost to find a helper?

You pay MeeHelp for a contact plan, which gives you a number of helper contacts. MeeHelp doesn't charge a placement agency fee, and the helper's salary is agreed and paid directly between you and the helper.

How is booking by the hour different?

A booking is a single visit. One-time cleaning can be booked now or for later; hourly help, including cooking and care, is scheduled at least 2 hours ahead. There's no long-term arrangement; you book again whenever you need help.
